Rummenigge: “A legend like Totti merits our respect”

Former Bayern Munich playing legend and now Executive Director Karl Heinz Rummenigge paid tribute to Roma’s Francesco Totti on the eve of their Champions League clash in the Italian capital.
The former German international striker told the Corriere Dello Sport that his side would need to prevent Er Pupone from dominating the game stating that: “This evening will be a difficult game, as the Giallorossi are in optimum form at the moment. Totti? He has been a legend of Roma for the past 10 years and demands our upmost respect”.
The German side need just a point from the contest at the Stadio Olimpico to ensure their safe passage into the knock-out phase as group winners whilst the Giallorossi need to ensure that they at least do not lose the game which would then set up a nervy last group game away to FC Cluj.
Daniele De Rossi and David Pizarro are both available for coach Claudio Ranieri whilst Bayern will be without their talismanic midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger through injury. French superstar Franck Ribery however, should be available for last season’s runners up. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
