Sampdoria fail in Gera move

Fulham have turned down a bid for their midfielder Zoltan Gera from Sampdoria, although a potential deal is not thought to be completely dead just yet.
Since losing Antonio Cassano to Milan earlier in the January transfer window, Sampdoria have brought in attacking reinforcements in the shape of Federico Macheda and Massimo Maccarone.
