Samuel out for the rest of the season for Inter

Walter Samuel has been dealt a cruel blow as he will miss the rest of the season after damaging ligaments in his right knee during Inter’s 1-1 draw with Brescia at the weekend.
The 32-year old was delivered his diagnosis on Sunday and the club released s statement on their official website confirming the news.
“The anterior cruciate ligament and the collateral ligament of his right knee are seriously damaged.” it read.
“He will undergo surgery to reconstruct both ligaments in the next few days.”
It is a severe case of rotten luck for the Argentinean who sustained a similar injury back in 2007 but showed a huge amount of determination during his rehabilitation and got back to his best.
Team captain and compatriot Javier Zanetti has publically supported his colleague.
“Walter is a man who never gives up and we’re all backing him during this difficult time.” he said.
