Santa Cruz deal with Lazio is back on

Manchester City’s Roque Santa Cruz is reported to be back in talks with Lazio about a permanent deal only weeks after snubbing a loan move to the Roman Club.
The 29 year old has currently found it hard to break into the Manchester City squad and is currently fourth in the pecking order behind Carlos Tevez, Mario Balotelli and Emmanuel Adebayor.
Sky Sports sources have reported that there is interest in Italy, Germany and England for the ex-Blackburn forward with Fulham being the most vocal.
However, it seems that Santa Cruz has his heart set on a move to L’Aquile even though he rejected a loan previously as he only wished to leave Manchester City on a permanent basis and wants to put his unfortunate time there in the past.
The former Bayern Munich man is reported to have spoken to La Republica saying: “I am talking to Lazio and I can’t wait to land in Italy and wear the blue and white shirt.”
With Edin Dzeko believed to be on his way to Manchester City Santa Cruz will be surplus to requirements and a move to Lazio would allow him to still give some of his best years to the club.
Lazio who currently occupy 3rd spot in the Serie A table would welcome his move to reinforce their front line and help them start to form a credible title challenge. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
