Sculli set to sign for Lazio

Genoa forward Giuseppe Sculli will sign for Lazio within the next few days. LaLaziosiamonoi.it reported in an interview with the 29-year-old that the deal was nearly complete.
In the interview Sculli was in a playful mood, he said “It has all fallen apart! No, I’m joking,” before stating that “It is done. The club has reached an agreement; I am a Lazio player and will arrive in Rome tomorrow. I was only advised of this a few moments ago, and have started to pack my things up.”
The fee is believed to be around 3.5 million Euros and he should be cleared to play in Lazio’s Coppa Italia derby against Roma. Giuseppe Sculli has been at Genoa for since 2006, first on loan and then making a permanent switch from Juventus in 2007. In this time he managed to score 22 goals in 117 games often being used as a winger rather than an out and out striker.
Lazio have been impressing this season and despite all the odds have been making a serious attempt to challenge for the Scudetto. They currently lie in third place and are only four points away from league leaders Milan.
