Sebastien Frey injury setback for Fiorentina

Fiorentina have suffered a massive blow as they look set to lose their outstanding goalkeeper Sebastien Frey for the rest of the season.
The Corriere dello Sport reports that the French shot stopper suffered an injury to his right knee during training on Tuesday afternoon, and early reports state that it could be cruciate ligament damage, which would certainly end his involvement in this season’s campaign.
Frey is no stranger to knee problems, over the past couple of years he has had to have major surgery on his left knee and now it looks as though this season is over for him as the same problems affect his right knee. The 30-year-old will see a specialist on Wednesday to get a full diagnosis on the problem but the early signs do not look good for a player that will be a huge loss to his club.
