Sensi backs Ranieri, bans team from speaking to the media and supports Totti

Rosella Sensi has called for fans of Roma to get behind Coach Claudio Ranieri and the team as their early season woes continued following last weekend’s 2-0 defeat away to Napoli.
I Giallorossi are currently sitting in the relegation zone after picking up just five points from six games. Club president Sensi has released a statement on the club’s official website covering different topics that have involved i Lupi over the last week. She has urged the fans to keep calm despite their early season anguish and to ignore comments from the media that may be detrimental to their hopes and morale.
“I urge the fans to gather round Ranieri and the players. We need their support more than ever, that same push that in the past took this team to incredible heights.”
“I don’t like hearing from Gianni Rivera (who publically criticised the going’s on at the club) that my players have started speaking out against Ranieri. I don’t like reading that Totti can even think he’s a problem. The truth is that ‘spoken football’ affects our work and we must all learn to be professional when it comes to living with tension, moods and provocation, just as we do with success and enthusiasm. We need a balance and respect for our roles.”
Sensi has also taken the decision to ban all coaching and playing staff from speaking to the media. Her decision is somewhat astounding as she wants Ranieri and his team to do their ‘talking’ on the pitch. It is not known when the ban will be uplifted.
“I think that in moments of difficulty, especially in sport, work is the best medicine. We must all give an answer with actions and not words. Those come through the training ground, sweat in the gym, eating healthy and good behaviour” said Sensi.
“In sport the team is what counts and that is why we’ll all come out of this situation together. There is silence in the media, but everyone can express themselves on Saturday, October 16 against Genoa.”
Francesco Totti, the club captain, has also been assured by the President that he continues to be the symbol of the club and has nothing to fear after he suggested that he would leave the club if he is hindering the team in any way.
Er Pupone is the heartbeat of i Lupi and Sensi supported her captain whilst suggesting her expectations of him playing a major role for the club after he eventually hangs up his boots.
“I tell Totti that he is a symbol of Roma and will continue to be on the field of play. As a captain, he sets a positive example for his team-mates and the many youngsters who look up to him.”
“Totti will, hopefully as late as possible, also become a director, so I expect a decisive contribution from him in the present and the future.” Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
