Simplicio delight at derby goal

Roma midfielder Fabio Simplicio has revealed that he fulfilled a lifelong ambition by scoring the winning goal during last night’s 2-1 Coppa Italia victory over city rivals Lazio.
With the tie locked at one apiece, the Brazilian ghosted into the Eagles penalty area and calmly slotted home the goal which saw his side advance to the quarter finals.
Speaking to a group of journalists after the match, a clearly delighted Simplicio said: “A goal in the derby, it’s a dream. I dedicate it to my family in Brazil. I am happy. It’s a dream. I have waited for this moment since I arrived here.
“It was a great victory and a deserved one too in my opinion. We played in an intelligent way and hit Lazio at the right moment. I showed cunning. The Lazio players didn’t see me and I suddenly came out of nowhere. Then I showed cold-bloodedness in front of goal.”

Simplicio’s intervention came after Roma striker Marco Borriello and Lazio midfielder Hernanes had scored from the penalty spot. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
