Sneijder: Mourinho deserved award

Inter midfielder Wesley Sneijder believes that Jose Mourinho deserves to be recognised as the best manager in the world.
The self-acclaimed ‘Special One’ was awarded the coaching version of the FIFA Ballon d’Or yesterday during a lavish ceremony in Zurich.
The Portuguese coach, now in charge of Spanish giants Real Madrid, guided Inter to an unprecedented treble of trophies last season as the Nerazzurri scooped the Scudetto, Coppa Italia and the UEFA Champions League.
When asked by Sky Italia for his reaction to Mourinho’s award and to compare his previous coach with current Inter chief Leonardo, Sneijder said: “I think that the two are rather similar. We’ll see Leo’s qualities in the future, but one thing is for certain: they have the same way of thinking.
“This is a great thing for our group of players. We have already won two games under Leonardo and must continue playing this way.
“However, Mourinho is without doubt the best Coach in the world.”

Sneijder himself wasn’t up for the player’s award, much to amazement of many after a successful year.
Barcelona’s Lionel Messi claimed the award for the second year running, ahead of team-mates Andreas Iniesta and Xavi. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
