Sneijder talks on new Inter contract, Milan and Diego Milito

In an exclusive interview with the Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter superstar Wesley Sneijder has been explaining that he is very close to finalising a new deal with the club.
Rumours coming out of the Italian media were that there had been a problem regarding the amount on offer from Inter but the Dutchman explained that: “two or three weeks, maybe less and everything should be in place. I do not believe that there has been a problem about my future. It was not a question about salary and bonuses, I am now 26 years old not 20 and at this stage of my career, I need to make sure that everything is right”.
He was also asked if he was missing former coach Jose Mourinho: “it is true we had a special rapport and I was happy to have worked with a coach as good as him. Mourinho found the perfect position for me and because of this I was voted the best midfielder in last season’s Champions League, for this I have to thank him”.
On the question regarding the criticism aimed towards his Argentinean teammate Diego Milito, Sneijder replied: “he has had a bad month and injuries have contributed to this. It is only a matter of time until he returns to top form”. When asked about Milan’s summer spending and whether it would be a two horse race for the championship Sneijder stated that: “of course Milan are fighting the same as us but we must not overlook the challenge of Juventus or even Roma. The championship is not only about two teams”. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
