Sneijder: “The season starts now”

Inter midfielder Wesley Sneijder speaking in advance of his sides Champions League encounter with Lille in France tonight has called on his Nerazzurri teammates to put their disappointing start to the season behind them.
The Dutch international has expressed his confidence in the side that was crowned champions of Europe only two years ago. Speaking to the gathered international press in Lille yesterday the playmaker said: “The season starts now, victory after victory. We’re the same team that won it all two years ago. We must not do anything but work: I’m not worried about the situation because I believe in the group.”
After a speculation riddled summer Sneijder is no stranger to pressure and he feels he can thrive despite the team’s adversity. “Playing under pressure, I was never scared; I play my best games under pressure.” Inter Coach Claudio Ranieri will certainly hoping this will be the case as his side face a difficult task to progress from Group B following their humiliating opening match day defeat to minnows Trabzonspor, who top the group.
