Sneijder unhappy with Inter’s failure to sign Afellay

Inter’s Wesley Sneijder has criticised the club for failing to sign his Dutch international team-mate Ibrahim Afellay.
Sneijder recommended that Inter recruit the highly-rated Afellay, who still plays in Holland with PSV Eindhoven, because his contract is expiring at the end of the season. However, Barcelona have moved quickly to agree a cut-price €3 million deal to take the 24-year-old midfielder to Spain in January.
Sneijder complained: I’ve told Inter that Ibrahim would be the perfect player for us and I’ve also told Ibrahim that he would flourish at Inter. He has the qualities to become a huge star in Serie A. Unfortunately, Inter decided not to listen to me and didn’t make a move for Afellay”.
Inter didn’t make significant changes to their squad in the summer after winning the Treble last season, and have started this campaign in poor form. After missing out on Afellay, it remains to be seen if Inter make any other moves in the January transfer window. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
