Stekelenburg agent: “Juventus are an option”

Maarten Stekelenburg’s agent has confirmed to Calcio Mercato that the Ajax goalkeeper is looking to move in the summer, and that Juventus could be a possibly destination.
The Dutch number one, who is currently sidelined with a broken thumb, has been strongly linked with Manchester United over the past few months, after compatriot Edwin van der Sar confirmed he would retire at the end of the season.
But the link with Juventus came after Stekelenburg’s agent, Rob Jansen, spoke to Calcio Mercato about a possible summer move.
“We are looking for an important club next season, therefore Juventus are an option. Up until now there hasn’t been any contact with Beppe Marcotta and the other Juventus directors; Juventus are a big club though, so we are keeping our options open.”
Current Juve keeper Gianluigi Buffon is said to be considering a move away from Turin at the end of the season, and the Oranje international could be seen as the ideal replacement for the world’s most expensive goalkeeper. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
