Tevez leaving City may jeopardise Aguero to Juventus

Sergio Aguero’s transfer to Juventus looked all but secure last week but, following Manchester City captain Carlos Tevez’s request to leave the English club, things might get complicated for the Old Lady.
Bianconeri Director Beppe Marrotta confirmed the club was negotiating with Atletico Madrid to bring Aguero to Turin for a fee reportedly worth €35 million. In fact, Gazzetta Dello Sport suggested yesterday, that the Argentine’s move was sealed.
However, last night after Tevez issued another statement confirming his desire to leave City, it is believed that the Sky Blues have turned their attention to his compatriot from Atleti.
Given City’s spending power it is quite easily possible that they will be able to match los Rojiblancos’ original valuation of the player which is believed to be around €40 million.
Aguero himself has been non-commital about his future till now stating: “I know of the interest from Juventus, but I will decide my future only after the Copa America.”
Roberto Mancini’s cause to sign Aguero will be further helped by the funds any transfer of his captain is likely to bring in. Furthermore, City will be playing in the Champions League next season whereas Juventus have failed to qualify for any form of European competition.
