A former Genoa player, Toni told scoring the winner in the 3-2 triumph did not have any added appeal because of his past: “This goal against my former team hasn’t any special taste. I’m only happy to be fielded by the Coach and I am proud of my performance. Wearing this shirt, I always want to give my all.”
Toni he enjoyed his best form in Florence, scoring 47 goals in 67 league matches and was capocannoniere in 2005-06 with 31 strikes. However, he is focused on the task at hand for Juventus as they look to continue their winning run.
