Totti pays glowing tribute to former Roma president Franco Sensi

Roma captain Francesco Totti has taken the time to pay tribute to former Roma president Franco Sensi who passed away at the age of 82 back in 2008.
Er pupone, via his official website, paid a glowing testament to a man who he clearly held in high esteem. The Lupi skipper expressed his utmost respect for Sensi who was hugely responsible for his long serving commitment to his boyhood club.
“Today, on his name-day, president Franco Sensi is remembered with a ceremony. I often think about him and what he was: a great man, who was always true and direct with everyone.” read Totti’s statement.
“He was never afraid to fight for the things he believed in and perhaps that’s why he was loved and respected so much. Together with his family, he has given so much to Roma, it’s practically a part of our lives and especially because of him I have tied my career to the Giallorossi shirt. Franco Sensi was a man who was greatly respected all across the Peninsula during his time as club president. His contribution to i Giallorossi during his 15 year stint saw a number of honours make their way into the club’s trophy cabinet including two Coppa Italia’s and their last Scudetto back in 2001.
