Totti to consider Roma exit

Roma’s talisman captain, Francesco Totti, has admitted to Sky Italia that he has considered leaving Rome following recent criticism.
He spoke as he arrived for Roma’s Christmas party, saying: “I’ve thought about leaving, especially recently. If I’m the problem for some Roma fans then I’ll continue to think about it. I’m not talking about the club or the manager [in terms of criticism].”
Totti said he’d also written to Father Christmas, “I’ve written to him already, let’s hope he brings me what I’ve asked for.”
Bitterness has grown following Totti’s saved penalty against Juventus. “It was a banana skin because if I’d have scored, we’d have gone on to win, it would have changed the game, we came out again [in the second half] and fronted up to what is the best team in the league at the moment”, Totti continued.
“I’m sorry for having made an error, for me, for the fans, and for all those who I’ve heard while I’ve been out and about, but I’ll continue to give my all as I’ve always done.
