Udinese confirm Napoli Inler interest

Napoli are hoping to pull off one of the coups of the January transfer window by capturing the signature of Udinese midfielder Gokhan Inler.
The Blues are thought to have been trailing the Swiss international for some time with many in Italy expecting a bid to materialise sometime this month.
And speaking to Radio Marte, Napoli director of sport Riccardo Bigon revealed that he has spoken to Udinese about the prospect of taking the energetic midfielder to the Stadio San Paolo.
“I have read about it in the newspapers. I can say that there has been a chat on Udinese’s part to sound out our interest, but this doesn’t mean that the deal has already been done,” said Bigon.
“Udinese wanted to understand Napoli’s intentions. If one party comes to propose an idea, both parties must then find an agreement.
“It’s not a deal that’s in an advanced stage. There is a good rapport between Napoli and Udinese. If the flowers blossom, we’ll see what happens.”

Since joining Udinese from FC Zurich in 2007, Inler has gone on to make over 100 appearances for the club while making himself a cult hero among the supporters.
