Udinese open the door for Sanchez and Inler to stay

Udinese patron Gino Pozzo has stated that while negotiations are on for both Alexis Sanchez and Gokhan Inler he would welcome the possibility of the pair staying with the Zebrette next season.
Chilean Sanchez has been the subject of bids from the top clubs around Europe, but earlier today Manchester City Coach Roberto Mancini announced that his club was pulling out of the race to sign him.
This paves the way for Sanchez to join Barcelona who reportedly offered €28 million and the services of youngster Jeffren. But, Pozzo claims there is still work to be done before an agreement is reached.
“Negotiations continue with Barcelona. We are waiting for developments even if a deal is quite complex, and we continue to work only on a table with Manchester City because we have never opened negotiations.
“The boy just wants Barcelona. But there is an option for Sanchez to remain in Udine which is always open. And if the boy decides to stay we would be very happy. Jeffren? We have not talked to him.”

However, Pozzo admitted that the deal for Inler had run into difficulties. The Swiss international was on the verge of joining Napoli but negotiations have not been as fruitful as expected.
“The negotiations with Napoli are stalled for the momet, we are waiting for them to get unblocked. However, if they are to withdraw, then of course the player can stay in Udine next year.”
Another Bianconeri player who is also linked with a move is Colombian defender Cristian Zapata, but the Zebrette President stated that he hoped to keep him especially with the club’s participation in the Champions League.
