Udinese star not close to joining Man City

The agent of Udinese midfielder Gokhan Inler has claimed that he is unaware of reported interest from Manchester City in his player’s services.
The Swiss international has been courted by a number of English clubs for some years now, with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger a known admirer of the 26-year-old.
And rumours of a switch to Premier League have once again surfaced, with Manchester City the latest club to be linked with a move for the player.
Serie A rivals Napoli are also thought to be monitoring the situation closely, although agent Dino Lamberti has revealed that there is not a deal in the pipeline.
“Inler to Manchester City, I know nothing about that,” Lamberti told Udineseblog.it.
“It is easy to make that assumption because I work for the daughter of the City president and I often go to Dubai. But this is just speculation.
“Napoli? Such talk is also premature. I have never spoken with officials at Napoli. I know there has been some talk between the two clubs, but nothing has been put in place.
“We have to consider Udinese’s position in all of this. If they end the season positively then many things could change, including the asking price.”
