Vialli interested in Juventus job

Gianluca Vialli has been speaking to Tuttosport about the possibilities of taking over at Juventus as caretaker manager if the role came available.
The ex-Juve striker feels he could be the right man to replace the under-pressure Gigi Del Neri: “Why am I not in charge of Juve? I’m not doing that because I work as a pundit for Sky Italia, something I do with great pride and happiness. It’s also because the Bianconeri never asked me to take on that role. If the call comes, then I’ll certainly think about it.”
Vialli was last in management from 1998 until 2002 when he managed first Chelsea and then Watford in England. Since then his media work has been keeping him occupied. The ex-Italian International played 102 times for Juventus scoring 38 goals and although being remembered fondly in Turin, it seems the position would only be offered on a short term basis.
Vialli however, hopes Luigi Del Neri stays with Juventus: “I hope Juve do not change, as in difficult moments it is better to go on with the same unit, then at the end of the season is the time to evaluate a situation. Making a change mid-season is not always an improvement.” Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
