Young German star on Inter’s radar

As the Nerazzurri welcome Werder Bremen to the Giuseppe Meazza for tonight’s big Champions League clash, one player in opposition will be under extra scrutiny. Corriere dello Sport has revealed that the Milan giants have a keen interest in the highly rated 21-year-old German international Marko Marin. If rumours are to be believed, the club has been tracking the youngster for a couple of years and a move to the peninsula has not been ruled out.
Inter coach Rafael Benitez was quick to deflect attention from the story explaining that “he is a good player but in this role we already have Wesley Sneijder and in this moment he is my preference”. Werder coach Thomas Schaaf was a little more confident about the player’s future “Marin in Italy? He is quality player of international standing – I would say for sure that there is a chance he will play in Serie A”.
