Zamparini furious with officiating after Napoli loss

Palermo’s outspoken President Maurizio Zamparini has laid into the referees once more after his side’s loss to Napoli at the weekend. The club supremo claims that his side were denied a penalty and that officials make life terribly difficult for the Rosanero.
“There was a clear penalty in our favour when Aronica jumped on Ilicic and dragged him back with a slap. The Palermo players must be killed with ‘gunshots’ for the referees to whistle for us”, started an impassioned Zamparini.
Napoli had dominated for much of the game last night before Cristian Maggio scored in the fifth minute of the injury time to give the Partenopei the win. However, Zampa feels that were his side the late scorers, things would have been different.
“The goal? If it was us, they would have raised the flag for offside for sure. These things are very difficult to understand. We played a good game, I don’t think we lost as we had just three in defense, Napoli won with five defenders.”
Javier Pastore had earlier spoken out against Delio Rossi’s tactics insisting there was a lack of connection between the midfield and the attack and Zamparini was also none too impressed by some of his Coach’s decisions.
“In the last fifteen minutes, our team committed collective suicide. Delio Rossi took players off to allow them to recover, it was almost like a horror movie, unbearable to watch. But these things happen in football.” Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
