Zamparini: Pastore is now worth 70 million

The colourful Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini has claimed that his star player Javier Pastore is now worth 70 million Euros. This is not the first time he has valued the player and every time he does it increases by a considerable amount.
Talking to Tuttosport yesterday Zamparini said: “Pastore will definitely stay for another year at Palermo. Perhaps he’ll stay forever seeing that he just signed a new five-year contract.”
It is certain that the President wants his star to remain, in the past he has done many interviews in which he has told the media of his proposed value. First it was 50 million Euros, the 60 million; now in his latest interview he has increased the price again.
The Rosanero owner said “He’s worth €70m. He is one of the best players in the world and there are some clubs who could spend that amount. “However, it is my intention to keep Pastore at Palermo next season too as he’s one of the strongest players in the championship.”
This seemed contrary to what he had proposed yesterday when he had said that he may swap his player for Claudio Marchisio and Giorgio Chiellini. However, today he went on to let press know that this was just his sense of humour saying
“I was fooling around in that interview. I said they could have Pastore if they gave me Claudio Marchisio and Giorgio Chiellini. Pastore will never join Juventus. If they are really interested in him then they should talk to me and not the papers.”
Pastore’s Palermo are currently seventh in the table five points behind Lazio who occupy the final Champions League spot. They take on Bologna at the weekend. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
