Zarate: “This is a Lazio of the Champions League”

Lazio striker Mauro Zarate has told the Argentinean daily newspaper “Olè” that he believes his current employers can qualify for next season’s Champions League. The 23-year-old stated that: “our idea is to finish in a Champions League position”. The Biancocelesti have had a wonderful start to the new campaign and currently sit second in the Serie A standings just three points behind leaders Milan.
Zarate then explained that his relationship with coach Edy Reja is now fine after a show of petulance in the 1-0 defeat to Cesena lead to the a clear the air meeting with his boss: “the problems I had with the coach started in the second-half of last season and the beginning of this campaign when I only played in nine games and spent a lot of time on the bench.
