Zebrette ready for Lazio showdown

Udinese players Medhi Benatia and Christian Zapata are aware of the importance of this weekend’s clash against Lazio.
The Friulani sit only a point behind the fourth-placed Romans after a difficult period in which they have won just one of their past five matches. Udinese are still in with a chance of playing Champions League football, but besides Lazio they must be aware of Roma and Juventus sitting just below them in the ladder.
Benatia told Udinese.it the players recognise the importance and difficulty of this match but are up for the challenge: “It is going to be an important, crucial match. We’re preparing it as best as we can and we’ll do our best.”
Colombian international Zapata noted tactician Francesco Guidolin has got the player geared up for the task at hand: “We’re training as best as we can, we want to be ready on that very important match,” he said to Udinesecalcio.tv. “We’ll do our best in the three matches left from here to the end of the championship”.
Injuries to key players have hurt Udinese in the final stretch of the season and while Benatia admits he is not fully fit, he wants to be on the field and help the team.
“I’m not at my best but I want to be there, there are too many absentees. We really want to win for Guidolin too: he’s a great coach and has changed this team’s attitude”.
