Zlatan Ibrahimovich injury gives Milan cause for concern

As Sweden prepare to face Holland in tonight’s Euro 2012 qualifier, it has been revealed that Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovich is currently playing through the pain barrier as an old problem raises its ugly head.
The big Swede is suffering from an abductor injury that was first diagnosed during his time Ajax. Speaking to the Gazzetta dello Sport, the Swedish national team coach Erik Hamren explained that : “Zlatan has a new problem with an old injury. At this moment it is not serious”.
He continued : “he has had a hard period with Milan playing a lot of games in a short space of time, but there is no problem, he is able to play”. The injury first came to light back in 2003 and after playing through the pain barrier for almost a year, he underwent surgery in 2004. At the time the operation was thought to be successful but now it seems this reoccurrence will be a major worry to both his club and country.
